Flooded again.....

Our home flooded for the second time in less than a year yesterday. We watched the waters rise from the street and into our home in about an hour and a half. When it started to enter the home, we only had 30 min before the entire first floor was flooded.

Our wonderful neighbors and friends immediately joined us in pushing water out as soon as the level went down.
We found this little guy this morning in the laundry room:

Butterfly

We are finding about 10 new chrysalis a day in the backyard.
This little guy was getting ready to find his spot:

I missed this guy's hatching by about an hour, but he stayed long enough for a picture:
This guy was a caterpillar just 30 minutes prior. Apparently, they can form the chrysalis within minutes:

April Updates

We've had an extremely busy month with extremely positive results. Nick had tubes put in his ears and has gained some hearing back. Matt's second cochlear implant was activated (see video below). Allen finished track and has started motocross racing again.

We've had warm days that allowed us to swim and chilly days that make us thankful to be here and not in Kodiak. We took advantage of spring break from school and made a quick trip to LA to see the family - all 7 of us, the dogs, the cat and the bird. Practice makes perfect, right?
