Jessi walked with the Kodiak Girl Scouts.Saturday, May 24, 2008
We went to the Crab Fest parade this morning to watch the big kids participate. Allen marched with the Kodiak Middle School Cub Band on snare - just like his dad - and says he only dropped a stick once.

We took Allen and Emma out this week to the racetrack to let them practice. These pictures were taken at 9:30 PM.

D.A.R.E. Graduation
Emma participated in the 5th grade D.A.R.E. graduation last night. She was one of two students chosen to read their essay on why not to do drugs and received a stuffed lion, the D.A.R.E. mascot, as a reward.

Emma was treated to a "good-bye" sleepover last night by her friends and one of the moms. They used our empty house to have their fun which included dressing up, singing, eating and lots of movie watching.

We took the little ones & dogs on a long walk yesterday to wear them out before bed. It it still very chilly here, but we spots with no wind that felt warm.

Guest House
Our views from the 3rd floor of the hotel on base. So far, everyone seems to be adjusting well. Each floor has a community kitchen and, thankfully, no other families have eaten at the same time as us. We take up two tables and it can get a little crazy!
There is a playroom on the 1st floor that keeps the little ones occupied after bath time. Allen commented that most of the couches and large toys are the same ones he remembers during our very first stay here in 1997!!!!

Moving day arrived and so did Michael's Sitka black-tail deer mount. Kodiak deer are the size of dogs, so this one was a keeper.
We were blessed with a break in the rain during the morning the movers were loading our household goods (HHG), so nothing was wet. We are officially without our HHG and have begun our stay in the hotel on base.

The Lion King
Allen, Emma and Jessi were in Little School of Dance's "The Lion King" this past weekend. Allen was a vulture, Emma a zebra and Jessi a monkey.
