Michael and the dogs joined the tribe on Thursday evening. Mimi had a vet conference to attend in New Olreans for the weekend, so we joined her and Pop in the French Quarter RV Park and walked the streets eating and shopping. Did I mention eating? Roast beef po-boys, beignets, cafe au lait, catfish.
On Sunday, Allen ran his first 5K. The route went along the Mississippi River and, because of heat, began at 6:30 AM. 
He placed 3rd in his division (ages 1-19)! He had to really push himself toward the end, but he said it was all worth the pain.
